The Europa Conference League final between Fiorentina and West Ham was interrupted for a few minutes on Wednesday evening. Cristiano Biraghi was hit in the head by a beer mug thrown by England fans and had to be bandaged due to a large head wound.

As he was about to take a corner, Cristiano Biraghi, the Italian player of Fiorentina was the target of English fans who threw cups of beer at him. And one of them hit its target, seriously injuring Biaghi in the skull. The referee briefly stopped the match until the player was treated and could return to his position. Calm then seems to have returned to the bend where thousands of West Ham fans are.
