Starbucks' Summer 2023 Collection Includes Cotton Candy Tumblers and Pride Pieces

Casual fans and diehard collectors alike are abuzz after this brand-new design

Casual fans and diehard collectors alike are abuzz after this brand-new design hit shelves earlier this month.

Diehard Starbucks fans are rejoicing as the coffee giant has released a brand new seasonal collection of merchandise, including an eye-catching lustrous coffee mug that collectors are saying has never been released in previous designs. With an initial drop that hit most cafés and licensed retail locations (everywhere from Target to supermarkets, hospitals and airports, too!) on May 9, the new collection of colorful cold cups, pearlescent tumblers, and brightly hued water bottles are available now.

It's clear that everyone is feeling the Barbie-core craze currently, as many of Starbucks' newest pieces pay homage to a classic bubblegum pink aesthetic. There's a Venti-sized (24oz) cold cup dressed in a zebra-like striped motif incorporating a head-turning pink finish, available for $19.95, per Starbucks' corporate materials. Plus, a more compact Grande-sized (18oz, $19.95) bubblegum pink gradient glass cold cup is enticing for those who love a more neutral look.

Collectors will be happy to hear that Starbucks is offering even more matching sets of iridescent bling cups and corresponding keychains, available at $22.95 and $12.95 respectively. The keychains are exceedingly popular among Starbucks' fans sharing their merch hauls online.

But the biggest draw for many will be the brand's lustrous "cotton candy" seashell tumbler, available in a Tall size (just about 12oz) — making it a great option for those who love a cup of Joe on the go first thing in the morning. Sold at a price point of $19.95, this hot-and-cold-friendly tumbler is a design that many of Starbucks' most loyal collectors have yet to see implicated in recent seasonal merchandise collections. It may end up being one of the rarest finds this season and is quickly flying off shelves.

There are over 15 new pieces of merchandise in all, most of which are now in cafés across the country. Based on the initial demand for the secret release of a limited edition Stanley x Starbucks tumbler, social media users have indicated that local Starbucks employees shared a restock for seasonal merchandise could be arriving later this month. Most online chatter points to May 30, just after the Memorial Day holiday — but Starbucks' officials have yet to confirm any of this directly.

Summer is a busy season for Starbucks fans, as the brand also releases additional merchandise timed around Pride Month in June as well as other celebratory events like Independence Day. While representatives at Starbucks have yet to unveil official materials surrounding its Pride Month collection — including a release date — eagle-eyed fans have spotted early release mugs and tumblers at some locations.

Of course, there are plenty of new items to tide you over until more seasonal merchandise lands in cafés and retail locations later this month. We can't get enough of Starbucks' latest five-pack of reusable cold cups that flash a brilliant color once they are filled with ice-cold coffee or a beverage of your choice ($22.95). We know these trendy Venti-sized cups will be sold out before you know it; be sure to check back for new seasonal merchandise later in the month, and happy hunting!
